Since opening our doors in September 2016, we have had the honor over the last month to celebrate the first graduating class of 34 students at San Manuel Gateway College.

San Manuel Gateway College, as part of Loma Linda University Health – San Bernardino, provides a unique learning experience for young people interested in helping the Inland Empire’s under-served communities. We offer a one-of-a-kind education focused on three levels: certificate, undergraduate and graduate and residences all in one institution.

Our students have the ability to train for entry-level positions in the health care industry and to work alongside Loma Linda University graduate students and medical residents for a hands-on experience. For many of our students, this was the first time experiencing clinical practicum.

During the graduation ceremony, 12 of our students received medical assistant certificates and 22 earned medical certifications as community health workers. Their paths to San Manuel Gateway College differed, however, their passion to learn and find hope in their education has truly made a difference.

We are proud of our students and wish them continued success.
